Pool Rules and Regulations

The pool is intended for the private use of the residents of Fairway Mews. With that in mind, the following rules have been adopted by the FMCA Board of Directors to protect the rights of all residents to enjoy the pool.


2019 Water Aerobics Schedule — Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

The following rules will be strictly enforced. Failure to

comply will result in the suspension of your pool privileges.


  1. The pool will open on the Memorial Day weekend. It will also be open on the following two (2) weekends. Finally, the pool will open daily beginning the third Saturday in June through Labor Day; from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The pool will remain open on the following two (2) weekends in September from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.


  1. Admittance to the pool will be with the new picture ID cards or ID cards with a current year sticker. The cards and stickers are issued to FMCA homeowners and tenants of record. You must bring your picture ID to access the pool area. Please do not ask the badge attendant for admittance to the pool area if you have forgotten your ID card. This rule will be strictly enforced.


  1. Bathers are not permitted in the library or meeting room portion of the Clubhouse.


  1. All guests must be registered by a resident of record.


  1. Children twelve (12) years of age and under must be under the supervision of an adult member of the family in the pool and pool area at all times.


  1. Daily adult swim: Only adults will be allowed to swim from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. and 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. each day. Additional adult swims may be announced at the discretion of the lifeguard.


  1. Prohibited in the pool and/or pool area:
  • Children of any age who are not toilet trained and/or wearing diapers are not permitted in the pool.
  • Children or adults will not be permitted to linger or play at the step areas. Step areas are to be kept clear to allow people to enter and leave the pool.
  • Children are not permitted in the locker rooms unless accompanied by an adult.
  • No food or drinks, except bottled water (plastic bottles only) will be permitted in the pool area or clubhouse. Tables and chairs are available outside the pool area under the awnings for your convenience. Food or drink is not permitted in the library.
  • Any device deemed to be unsafe by the lifeguard will not be permitted in the pool or pool area.
  • Bicycle riding, skate boarding or boisterous behavior is not permitted in the pool area.
  • Animals are not permitted in the pool area.



  1. Life jackets and harness tubes are the only flotation devices permitted in the pool.


  1. Bicycles must be parked in the bicycle rack while owners are in the pool area. Bicycles may not be left in the walkways or clubhouse. All golf carts must be parked in the cart area in front of the Clubhouse.


  1. Chairs and lounges on the pool deck must be covered by towels to protect them from suntan lotion, oils, etc.


  1. Any damage to pool equipment or furnishings will result in an assessment by the Board of Directors for the cost of repair or replacement. This assessment will be paid by the resident of record for themselves, their children and guests.


  1. For the safety and enjoyment of all residents and guests using this facility, these rules and regulations will be strictly enforced.


  1. Fairway Mews Community Association is not responsible for any accident occurring in the pool, pool area, or elsewhere on the premises, nor are they liable for loss, damage or destruction of personal property.



New Jersey State Health and Safety Regulations


Any person showing evidence of any communicable skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharges or any other communicable disease shall be refused admission.


Any person with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts or bandages, shall be denied admission.


Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have had any signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past seven days.


Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water. Immediately report any accidents you observe in the bathing area to the lifeguard.


No animals, except for service animals, shall be allowed in the swimming pool area and or dressing rooms or other parts of the enclosure.


Glass containers shall be prohibited in food and drink areas.


Conduct which jeopardizes the safety and comfort of others shall be prohibited.


Outdoor bathing shall be prohibited during an electrical storm.


Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water.


The above health and safety regulations are in compliance with the New Jersey State Sanitary Code, and everyone must comply.
